The term for a three-nucleotide sequence that codes for an amino acid would be a codon
Answer: DORSIFLEXION
EXPLANATION:
There are about six classic movements of the foot. They include:
1. Dorsal flexion (dorsiflexion)
Flexion movement of the ankle that results in the top of the foot moving toward the anterior tibia in the sagittal plane.
This movement is achieved by the muscles in the anterior compartment of the leg.
2. Plantar flexion
Extension movement of the ankle that results in the foot and/or toes moving away from the body in the sagittal plane.
3. Eversion
Turning the sole of the foot outward or laterally in the frontal plane; abduction
Ex: weight on inner edge of foot.
4. Inversion
Turning the sole of the foot inward or medially in the frontal plane; adduction
Ex: weight on outer edge of foot.
5. Pronation
A position of the foot and ankle resulting form a combination of ankle dorsiflexion, subtalar eversion, and forefoot abduction (toe-out).
6. Supination
A position of the foot and ankle resulting from a combination of ankle plantar flexion, subtalar inversion, and forefoot adduction (toe-in).
When jellyfish are attached to coastal reefs they have a stalked (polyp) phase and a jellyfish (medusa) phase, when they float among the plankton. The jellyfish eggs are fertilized internally and develop into free-swimming planula larvae during the medusa stage. The medusa stage is the reproductive stage. The larvae will then settle on the sea floor after a brief period of floating around the water surface. The larvae will attach themselves at one end, there they then develop into polyps and grow. During the months of spring, some of the polyps will start to bud off immature jellyfish also knows as ephyra larvae. They then grow into mature jellyfish. :)
The macromolecule must be starch.
Explanation:
Starch is a polymer of Glucose joined by glycosydic bond.
Starch is the main energy storage substance in green plants.
Starches react with iodine and give a bluish black or black color and thus iodine test is considered as a confirmatory test for starches.
In this experiment ,the solution turns very dark black on addition of iodine so we can be sure that the solution contained starch.
The shorter piece would be 10 inches while the longer piece would be 50 inches because the longer piece is 5 times the shorter piece. If you add the shorter piece to it, it will make a total of 60 inches.
