Political: destroyed empires, created numerous new nation-states, and encouraged independence movements in Europe's colonies

Economic: After the war,especially in Latin America. U.S. exports to Europe increased as those countries geared up for war

Social: Most women had to run businesses while the men were at war and labor laws started to be enforced
