What three patriot groups that formed as part of the protest movement.
artcher [175]

Three patriot groups that formed as part of the Protest movement are the Organized Militia Members, Tax Protesters and Sovereign citizens.

The Organized militia members is a Patriot Group which numbers increased after the elections of President Obama in 2008. These groups are moderately armed, insignificant but loud, most groups are not committed to a cause. They are easy to control because they believe in an assortment of conflicting ideas. This private organizations include the paramilitary, it is a right-wing movement.

Some of the most famous militia in the United States are: the Minutemen which are against immigration and they serve as border patrol guards, they also have violent inclinations and sufficient guns. Another one is the Ku Klux Klan, they are racists and their mission is to restore white supremacy in the South of the US. An ancient one is the Revolutionary War Militia, group in which George Washington participated as its leader; most militia men of this time were poorly trained, not well equipped and badly organized.

The Tax protesters is a group of people that repudiate the idea of owing taxes and believe that the Constitution, Statutes or regulations do not authorizes the government to collect taxes. In the United States people have proclaimed against taxation many times. In the colonial era, when Americans fought the British attacking the Stamp Act of 1765 and making a common front against taxes which were considered illegal by the colonists, as in The Boston Tea Party. The Whiskey Rebellion in 1794 in which colonists from Pennsylvania retaliated to a federal tax om liquor. During the Great Depression income taxes significantly increased, in order to pay for the New Deal program, with that the tax delinquency also increased.

Since the end of World War II, two important tax protest movements have emerged. One is a left-wind tax protest movement that formed as a response to the Vietnam War, and the other is a right-wing movement that opposes the income tax, which was ratified as the 16th Amendment in 1913.

The Sovereign Citizens, concept originated in 1971, is a political movement that believes in government abuses of power. The members of this group frequently reject to hold a driver's license, social security cards, birth certificates, using zip codes and paying taxes. They have little consideration for the police or the courts. They declared themselves as sovereign citizens, which means they are not subject to laws, courts or taxes, in other words they have renounced to their citizenship. Many members of this movement believe that the United States government is illegitimate.

Match the following. Moses / David / Joseph1. rejected by Saul; wandered in exile: 2. rejected by Israelites; lived in exile: 3.
Blizzard [7]

Answer: Numbers 1 and 5, David.

Numbers 2 and 4, Moses.

Numbers 3 and 6, Joseph.

Explanation: David became popular after killing the giant Goliath and jealous King Saul attempted to kill him a few times unsuccessfully. David had to flee into the wilderness for safety but after Saul died in battle, David was exalted to the position of the next King of Israel.

Moses' attempt at liberating his people from slavery (including killing an Egyptian) further incurred Pharaoh's wrath and Moses had to flee when his own people condemned his action in their defence. He was eventually called while in exile to return to Egypt for the purpose of leading his people out of slavery and hence became their leader for the next few years.

Joseph was rejected and despised by his jealous brothers and they sold him off into slavery. It was while he was in prison as a slave that he was divinely blessed with the wisdom to interprete dreams and as a reward for interpreting Pharoah's dream, he was appointed as a ruler second in command to Pharaoh.

How did Colonist interact with the land?
igomit [66]

Answer:

Reading some of the explorers' diaries of that era makes it clear that communicating with new peoples was a known issue, and that there were fairly clear and well-defined toolboxes to deal with it. I'm thinking particularly of Joseph Banks' Endeavor voyage notebooks, but I've seen the same thing in others. They meet a new group of people with a strange language, and rather than freaking out over it they matter-of-factly begin to collect nouns and verbs, and pick up a working vocabulary in an impressively short time. It was part of the expectations, really.

It's likely that this attitude and approach didn't carry over to the actual colonists, as opposed to the explorers, but at least they could take advantage of the initial work if so desired.
