there can be different kinds of peer pressure

1. spoken peer pressure: is when a teenager asks, suggests, persuades,  or otherwise directs another to engage in a specific behavior.

2. unspoken peer pressure: is when a person asks you to do something directly to do something or says things to you that push you toward a certain choice.

3. direct peer pressure: is normally behavior eccentric.

4. indirect peer pressure:  When a teen overhears a friend gossiping about another person and then reacts to the gossip, that is indirect peer pressure.

5. negative peer pressure: means that the individual can easily adopt dangerous habits.

6. positive peer pressure:  is when someone's peers influence them to do something positive or growth building. ... Equip your child (or their friends) with the tools to be a good influence, because they can impact the choices friends make more than any adult can sometimes.
