Answer:

What happened on January 6, 2021 was an attempted coup d’etat that had an inside and outside dimension and strategy! It was an undemocratic effort by President Donald Trump and over 150 Republicans to reject the popular votes of the American people in the 2020 presidential election and replace them with their own Electoral College Votes. They rejected the election of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris and tried to keep Donald Trump in office for a second term.

Inside, originally 14 and in the end, eight members of the U.S. Senate and over 130 members of the U.S. House of Representatives voted that Joe Biden and Kamala Harris were not the legitimate president-elect and vice president-elect because they were elected in a fraudulent and crooked election.

Outside, thousands representing a violent mob breached the Capitol, ransacked it, looked for members of Congress to harm and threatened to kill Vice President Mike Pence and Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi. They did delay the official certification process of Congress until 4a.m. of the next day.

What caused all of this? It was the result of “the big fat lie” repeated over and over again in a truly fascistic manner, perpetrated by President Trump, Republican U.S. Senators and members of the U.S. House of Representatives, that Joe Biden and Kamala Harris were illegally and corruptly elected and that the election was stolen!  Even now a majority of House Republicans will not say that Biden and Harris were elected in a free, fair, open and legal election.

There has always been a racist, fascist and anti-democratic element in our politics.

In America between 1619 and 1964, long after the Democratic Party was officially established it was mostly accommodated in the Democratic Party.

But beginning in September, 1964 when South Carolina Senator Strom Thurmond switched from the Democratic Party to the Republican Party and vowed to convert the former Dixiecrats to Republicans, i.e., get Jefferson Davis Democrats to switch, it now mostly resides in the base of the Republican Party.

This element existed mostly underground until the election of Donald Trump, when he became the maypole around which anti-democratic, racist, anti-Semitic, anti-government and authoritarian forces surfaced and rallied around him.

Joe Biden’s dominant message as the incoming president has been to unify the country and work across partisan lines. It has an appealing ring to many Americans because the country is divided.

But there is a precedent for this “can’t we all just get along” approach in a divided country – the American Civil War.

Both President Lincoln and his successor Andrew Johnson after Lincoln’s assassination had, understandably, a preoccupation with reuniting the country. Lincoln had issued the Emancipation Proclamation on January 1, 1863, which freed him to enlist 180,000 colored troops in the Union cause that helped him and the North win the war. One can legitimately say that Black people saved Lincoln and the Union and as a result of Lincoln and the North’s military victory the slaves were freed.

The problem is that while the North defeated the South militarily, they didn’t defeat the South’s ideology of white supremacy.

Lincoln appointed Johnson as Tennessee’s military governor during the war because he had remained loyal to the Union, but Johnson was not ideologically opposed to slavery. Lincoln rewarded him by selecting him as his vice president in 1864 anyway.

The effort in 1865 by Johnson and others after the Civil War to reunite the country, without the prerequisite of racial, economic, social and political justice, allowed the KKK to rise, Black Codes to emerge, Redeemer Democrats to regain control of state legislatures using violence, and ultimately resulted in Plessy v. Ferguson in 1896, setting the nation on a course of 58 years of apartheid until the Brown decision of 1954.

Overcoming the legacy of legal segregation meant struggling against the resistance of the Goldwater campaign in opposition to civil rights in 1964, opposing Nixon’s 1968 southern strategy, defying Reagan kicking off his campaign in 1980 in Philadelphia, Mississippi in the name of states’ rights while being endorsed by the KKK in the county where Schwerner, Goodman and Cheney were murdered for registering Black voters. Then came the authoritarian Donald Trump with his bullhorn of racism, anti-Semitism and undemocratic practices.

Also sorry but this is all i could find on what happened on January 6 2021

Answer:

January 6 is the sixth day of the year in the Gregorian calendar. 359 days remain until the end of the year (360 in leap years).

Answer: The Ultimate Chess Game

Ideally, the ultimate chess game would be between the two highest rated chess programs, which can even kick the world champion to the curb (which is possible right now). However, I will be writing from personal experience rather than hypothetical situations and world champion matches.

I had been a passionate and obsessed chess player in high school. More time was spent on chess than my studies. I would stay up late at night, studying chess games and playing against my twin brother, while during the day, I attended the high school chess club. At that time, chess meant almost everything to me.

After playing on one of the best high school chess teams in Washington state, I thought I was ready for the big time: the Washington State Chess Open. In the Open, there were grandmasters and local legends that I dreamed to beat and to become. I knew I had to train harder than I ever had done to be able to compete with them. I did not have a grandmaster handy to train with, so I downloaded a chess computer program that I thought was about as strong as me or a bit stronger. It had the rating of 2000 elo points, which is about expert strength, or that of a candidate master. I believed myself to be that strong on my good days, and one of my strengths was my self confidence in light of turmoil on the board.

I set up a 5-game match between this computer program and I. In my quiet room in the town of Woodway, with a chess board in the middle of the room, and a chess clock on the table to simulate the time control I would play in the Open, I kept a laptop on another table to host the chess program. Each time I started a game, I made sure I had everything set up and that I was mentally prepared for it. I was doing opening preparation before the games, and constantly studying other aspects of chess as well. I was treating this match as a sort of chess boot camp.

The time control for the games was 90 minutes for 40 moves, and 60 minutes for all moves after that for each side. Obviously, the computer program was much faster than me, as it could calculate thousands of positions within a few seconds. So, time pressure was always in the back of mind. But I thought that under these strenuous conditions against an expert-level player, this would be the best training for the upcoming Open.

The first game was a draw, though hard-fought. I was barely able to hold onto my position in the endgame, but managed to. The second game was slow torture, as the computer kept building a better position against me while I committed inaccuracy after inaccuracy. The computer ultimately won that game. With the score not in my favor, the third game was a breaking point. Either I had to win, or else my chances of tying or winning the match were slim. I played my usual London System, which is a solid opening choice that is more positional than tactical. However, the game was not positional at all. The computer opted for the rare Dutch Defense, and right away, fireworks happened on the board. I took on an aggressive attitude in the game, and I reaped the benefits: his king was soon being attacked from my active pieces, especially bishops. To open up the kingside more, I sacrificed a bishop and used multiple types of tactics that deserved brilliancy marks. The positions in the game seemed to beg for these sacrifices and crazy tricks. The game was over in a mere 27 moves. It was difficult for me to grasp that I had beaten a 2000-rated chess computer is such a fashion. I call this my ultimate game not because it was the strongest opponent I beat, but because it seemed that I tapped into a tactical intelligence that was akin to a grandmaster like the legend Mikhail Tal. I somehow made it look easy to beat this computer, even though the match was eventually tied, with the last two games being uneventful draws. That flash of brilliancy proved to myself that I could compete with the masters in the Open.

Martin Luther King’s tone in his “I Have a Dream” speech can be described as
Phantasy [73]

Tone is the author's attitude toward the speech.  Since we know that Dr. King was the author and presenter of the speech, this was one of inspiration, seriousness, hope, and encouraging.  This is not to be confused with mood.  Mood is your feelings from the text.  So, while the tone may be one of hope, to say it was 'hopeful' would be a mood (if that is indeed what you are feeling when hearing it.)
