There’s only one conjunction in this sentence and it’s the word “and”. A conjunction is a word that joins words phrases or a sentence. Good luck!

Hatred poem by Wislawa Szymborska
mart [117]
Note: the translation of your poem may vary, so check the word choices before answering.

In the first stanza, the personification of hatred creates an image of a predator, a creature able to "vault" obstacles. Words like "vault," "pounce" and "track" add to this image. (Your translation might have "regards," "leaps," and "overtakes" -- but the idea is the same).

Personification is used later in the poem to contrast hatred with compassion, brotherhood, and doubt. Hatred, she writes "never tires" of being an executioner. Furthermore, it's "always ready," even if it must wait. In this way, he can wait for compassion and brotherhood to give way to violence.

Brotherhood, compassion (or empathy, depending on the translation) and doubt, she says, are "sluggish" and do not compel people to act in the way hatred does.

Which sentence makes a claim for an argument about why students should be allowed to use cell phones in school
elixir [45]

Answer:

B.

Explanation:

Arguments are claims backed by reasons that are supported by evidence.

A and D are reasons that can back claim B.

C can serve as a reason too, but it does not back B very well because you can research information at home, and your argument is about why students should be allowed to use cell phones in school.

So the answer would be B.

What does Cain fear after he kills his brother?
torisob [31]
The correct answer is C. After killing his brother, Cain is afraid that other people will want to kill him. It is written in Genesis 4:13-14 that his punishment is more than he can bear, he will be a restless wandered on the earth and whoever finds him will kill him.
