The answer is A because Darwin made several collections, drawings and studies of the many species of Galapagos Island finches. Darwin observed that the birds had very different diets, probably to avoid competing for food resources.

A possible explanation for what darwin observed was the birds had beaks that were adapted for feeding differently. Why he was studying the birds beaks that have been adapted for different food was because he noticed that there were birds that may have came from the same ancestor but they all had different characteristics and he soon realized it was becasue they all were adapted for each island the bird was at.<span />

How does cytokinesis differ between plants and animals??
Murljashka [212]
In animals, a cleavage furrow begins to form between the soon-to-be sister cells. The lipid bilayer is pinched until the cells are finally separated. In plants, the cell walls are made up of cellulose, so they won't bend. Instead, a new wall is grown in between the the two new cells.
Hope this helps. :D

Why do so many (~30%) gorilla babies die within the first few months of their lives?
katrin2010 [14]

(30%) gorilla babies die within the first few months of their lives because of inherent weakness of the infant or disease.

What is inherited disease?

Genetic factors play a role in almost all health conditions and traits, but there are some conditions in which genetic alterations play a role in almost all of the causes that cause the condition.

Genes are passed from parent to child, so are DNA changes within the gene. DNA changes can also occur spontaneously, first appearing in children of unaffected parents. This is called a new mutation, and the word mutation means change.

Therefore, (30%) gorilla babies die within the first few months of their lives because of inherent weakness of the infant or disease.
