Answer:

Why did they do ?

Explanation:

Mikhail Gorbachev, in full Mikhail Sergeyevich Gorbachev, (born March 2, 1931, Privolnoye, Stavropol kray, Russia, U.S.S.R.), Soviet official, general secretary of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union (CPSU) from 1985 to 1991 and president of the Soviet Union in 1990–91. His efforts to democratize his country’s political system and decentralize its economy led to the downfall of communism and the breakup of the Soviet Union in 1991. In part because he ended the Soviet Union’s postwar domination of eastern Europe, Gorbachev was awarded the Nobel Prize for Peace in 1990.

2. Why did people support the Populist Party?
PIT_PIT [208]

Answer:

The People's Party was able to exploit a huge gap in the political market place left by the two main parties. In the late nineteenth century, there didn't appear to be too many significant differences between the Democrats and the Republicans, both of which were broadly committed to similar policies. Yet in the 1890s, at the height of what became known as "The Gilded Age," many people, especially farmers in the South and Midwest, looked for a radically different approach that would address the concerns of those left behind by the rapid development of America's increasingly industrialized economy.

How are federal and state revenues different?
horrorfan [7]
Answer: The federal government and the majority of states have income taxes, but their rules and rates can vary widely. Federal taxes are progressive, with higher rates of tax on higher levels of income. Some states have a progressive tax system, while others impose a flat tax rate on all income.
