Answer:

1. restate the claim you made in your introduction paragraph in a different way

2. restate the reasoning you gave in your body paragraphs in a differnt

way

3. depending on your topic, apply what new information you've found or the claim you made to specific real-life examples (like if your topic was about substance abuse in poorer neighborhoods, maybe talk about the opioid crisis)

that's really it! don't be afraid to ask me more questions if that wasn't clear!

Karolina [17]

Answer: B) He is a very experienced hunter.

Explanation: In the given excerpt from "The Most Dangerous Game" we can see that Rainford is describing what happened in the scene of the hunting, even though he was not there. He describes all the steps the hunter followed, and he explains the reasons behind them, this indicates us that Rainford is a very experienced hunter, so the correct answer is the corresponding to option B.

Jeans are on sale at a nearby store.
Dimas [21]

Answer:

Conclusion: "Therefore, all jeans at the nearby store are on sale."

Explanation:

Reasoning- this happens when a person thinks about something logically. This process of thinking affects the decision of a person. There are primarily two type of reasoning: inductive and deductive.

Inductive Reasoning- this reasoning starts with specific observations that move into generalized conclusion.

Deductive Reasoning- this is the opposite of inductive reasoning. It starts with a generalized statement and moves to a specific conclusion.

The example above demonstrates inductive reasoning.

Jeans are on sale at a nearby store. = this is the specific observation that you have.

Therefore, all jeans at the nearby store are on sale = this is the generalized conclusion. Since jeans are on sale at a nearby store, then you assume that all jeans are on sale at a nearby store. For you, this is true.

Remember that not all conclusions are valid. They are only true according to how you reasoned out.

1. We were weeding the vegetable bed and picking ripe tomatoes is the correct sentencing of the fragment.
2. It would be the third one "my brother was careful to avoid driving during rush hour" because this is a sentence and in the first choice makes the fragment turn into two fragments.
3. Add "turn" to the beginning of the fragment. This makes the fragment into a sentence.
