You would set up equations for both the member and the non-member.
The member's equation would be: 384+8x (x being the number of rounds)
The non-member's equation would be: 48x+24x
then you would set them equal to each other and then solve:
384+8x=48x+24x
384=64x
384/64=x
x=6
they would have to play 6 rounds in order to pay the same amount.

Meghan has two less dimes as she does nickels and one more than double the amount of quarters as she does nickels for a total of
defon

Answer:

The number of nickel = 3

Number of dime =  1

Number of quarter  = 7

Step-by-step explanation:

Let us assume the number of nickels Meghan has = m

So, the number of dimes she has = m -2

And the number of quarters she has = 1  + 2 m

Now, the total amount she has  = $2.00

1 nickel = $0.05  ⇒  m nickel =  m ($0.05)  = 0.05 m

1 dime = $0.10 ⇒  (m -2) dime =  m-2  ($0.10)  = 0.10 (m-2)

1 quarter  = $0.25  ⇒  (1+ 2m) quarter = (1+ 2m) ($0.25)  = 0.25 (1+2m)

So, according to the question:

Amount of (nickel + dime + quarter) = $2.00

⇒  0.05 m +  0.10 (m-2) +  0.25 (1+2m) = 2

or, 0.05 m + 0.10 m - 0.20 + 0.25  + 0.5 m = 2

or, 0.65 m = 2 - 0.05

or, m = 1.95/0.65 =  3

or,  m  = 3

Hence, the number of nickel = 3

Number of dime =   m -2  =  3-2  =   1

and Number of quarter = 2m + 1 = 7

Suppose Antonio buys a CD for $500 that earns 3% APR and is compounded monthly. The CD matures in 1 year. How much will Antonio'
Luden [163]

Answer:

$515.21

Step-by-step explanation:

Because you're compounding monthly, use the formula:

A(t)=P(1+\frac{r}n)^{nt}}

where A(t) is the amount after the compounding,

P = $500

r = .03 (always in decimal form!)

n = 12 (monthly is every month, and there are 12 months in a year) and

t = time in years

Filling in our given info:

A(t)=500(1+\frac{.03}{12})^{(12)(1) which simplifies to

A(t) = 500(1 + .0025)¹² which simplifies to

A(t) = 500(1.0025)¹² which simplifies to

A(t) = 500(1.030415957) so

A(t) = $515.21
