History

Jackson took office in 1829, and was considered an authority on dealing with Native Americans. He had participated in negotiations with several Indian tribes and managed to acquire several million acres from the Creeks and Seminoles. He then called for the removal of the Southeastern Indian tribes to territory. On May 28th, 1830, he signed the Indian Removal Act.
Andrew Jackson believed the Indian tribes to be sovereign nations that would never be willing to follow American laws and customs. Jackson had no qualms with using force against the Indians, the Seminole wars marked one of the bloodiest periods in the history of US Government and Indian relations.

Answer:

The Indian Removal Act

Explanation:

The Indian Removal Act was promoted, and signed into law by president Andrew Jackson ini 1930. The Act allowed the president to negotiate with several native american nations (the Cherokee, the Choctaw, the Chicasaw, etc) who lived in the southeastern United States for their removal from those areas, and their relocation to a new designated Indian Territory west of the Mississippi river (mostly in Oklahoma).

The Indian Removal Act caused the death of thousands of Native Americans who died of starvation and disease during their removal. This event is known as the Trail of Tears and is considered a genocide by many contemporary historians.

Impact of arms race
snow_lady [41]
The arms race changed the relationship between the democratic west and the Soviet Union and created an atmosphere of fear and national insecurity known as the Cold War. During the Cold War, the Communist and Democratic nations accumulated huge arsenals of nuclear weapons that could destroy entire regions of the Earth. From this mammoth amount of power and influence came distrust, accusations of treason, and an era of nationalism. Today, many of the weapons still exist and pose a large nuclear threat, causing both the West and the East to fear each other as well as the possibility of nuclear warfare.
