Think about it. if it is easier for light mice to be preyed upon, then they will die out quicker, causing the dark mice to become the majority giving them an opportunity to produce more dark offspring. The light mice will eventually die of as they are easier to catch and kill thus creating a larger population of dark mice becuase they survive better naturally.
