Looking at Van Gogh's works, we can see that he makes a wide use of thick and bold brushstrokes, combined with strong and striking colors in images without any kind of abstraction. Van Goch's work was very expressive and presented a feeling of opulence, brilliance and explosion. That was how his mind worked and it was through art that he expressed himself.
