It was very segregated, and blacks had a hard time living. Everything was mostly seperated then.
Oh, yes, that is true! Eleanor Roosevelt was a very active woman who was as strong a leader as her husband (the president). Did you know that she chaired the committee that approved the Universal Declaration on Human Rights, which is still used today?
