The correct answer is D) Terman's longitudinal study of over 1500 gifted children.

Beliefs that being gifted or a genius lead to being weird, socially awkward, or more likely to suffer from mental illnesses were put to rest by Terman's longitudinal study of over 1500 gifted children.

Joel N. Shurkin published the study called "Terman's Kids. The Ground Breaking Study of How the Gifted Grow Up." Professor Lewis Terman (1877-1956) was an American psychologist that developed the Stanford-Binet intelligence test. As a Stanford professor, he published the work "The Measurement of Intelligence" in 1916. In 1921 he did research on gifted children. He picked 158 students from the state of California that had IQ's exceeding 140. He found that these children tended to have better health and stability that the rest of children.

Alex17521 [72]

Answer:

a. Long Cycle Theory

Explanation:

In international relations theory, the Long Cycle Theory was first presented by George Modelski in his book Long Cycles in World Politics (1987). Modelski claims that the US replacing Britain as the leader of the International System after World War II is part of a cycle in international relations where one hegemon is gradually replaced by another over a period of roughly a century.

The transition from one hegemonic power to another leads to the new world power carrying on the costs associated with such a position. And unlike defenders of the realist school of international relations, Modelski doesn't see this cycle as produced by the anarchy of the internationals system, but rather as a natural consequence of economic and political developments, including wars. According to him, Portugal was the world hegemon in the 16th century, Netherlands in the 17th century, Britain stretched his period of international dominance over the 18th and 19th century, and since the 20th century, the United States is the world's dominant hegemon.

Snezhnost [94]

The correct answer would be option C, Exchange Rate.

When planning a trip to Spain, Brett and his wife, both Americans, were concerned about how much they could afford to spend in Europe because sometimes the U.S. dollar will buy more goods and sometimes it will buy less, based on changing economic conditions. The Exchange rate is the rate at which the currency of one area or country can be exchanged for the currency of another’s.

Explanation:

When one currency of a country is exchanged with the currency of another country, the rate at which the currencies are exchanged is called as the exchange rate.

For example while planning a trip to Europe from America, the couple have US dollars which they need to exchange in Euros to be able to use the currency in Europe.

Roughly, a Euro is equivalent to 1.08 US Dollars, as of today. So this 1.08 dollars will be the exchange rate for US dollars to Euro.
