A satellite moves at a speed of 2.4 x 10^4 km/h. Work out how long it will take for the satellite to move a distance of 3.2x10^6
Alenkinab [10]

Answer:

Below in bold.

Step-by-step explanation:

speed = distance / time

2.4 * 10^4 = 3.2 * 10^6 /time

Time = 3.2 * 10^6 / 2.4 * 10^4

= 3.2/2.4 * 10^(6-4)

= 1.3333.. * 10^2 hours

= 133 hours  ( to 3 significant figures).

Aurelia wants to enlarge a 4 inch by 6 inch photo so that it has a width of 15 inches Use a ratio table to determine the new len
vichka [17]
Ok, this is a ratio problem; the ratio of the length to width is constant (and therefore equal): 4 /6 = 15 / x Now, with a ratio, we may do any allowable algebra operation: cross-multiply, invert both sides, multiply or divide both sides by the same amount, etc. Let's cross-multiply: 4x = (15)(6) x = 90/4 x = 22.5 in.

Consider the differential equation dydx=6x, dydx=6x, with initial condition y(0)=4y(0)=4.
topjm [15]
Formatting is kind of messed up. I'm assuming the differential equations is dy/dx = 6x

You need to get all the x's on one side and y'all on the other.

dy =6x dx

Integrate both sides.

y = 3x^2 + C

Now plug in the given values

y(0) = 4 = 3(0)^2 + C

C = 0

y = 3x^2

Plug 1 in for x to find the value of y(1)

y(1) = 3(1)^2 = 3

1) p + 8
Substitute 2 in for the variable.
2 + 8 = \fbox {10}

2) 3p
Substitute 2 in for the variable.
3(2) = \fbox {6}

3) 16 - p
Substitute 2 in for the variable.
16 - 2 = \fbox {14}

4) -12 ÷ p
Substitute 2 in for the variable.
-12 ÷ 2 = \fbox {-6}
