lys-0071 [83]

Answer: 4) It protected against invasion from the west.

Explanation:

The Nile was the "lifeblood" of ancient Egypt, a river of crucial importance for the emergence and development of ancient Egypt. The source of water, food, and frequent flooding that left fertile soil are ideal conditions for the rise of civilization.

However, the Nile was not a barrier to the war on Egypt, neither from anywhere in the world nor from the west. The Romans marched on this side of the globe, not the territory of Egypt, and put it under their control.

To what degree is it understandable for England and France to pursue a policy of Peace through Appeasement?
Llana [10]

Answer: Appeasement was the right policy for England because it gave them time to prepare and get there army together. Appeasement allowed them to have peace and no conflict for a while which is a good outcome of appeasement. Lord Halifax even promoted appeasement because it allowed them to prepare for the war which happened within a year.

Explanation: It's understandable that having peace through appeasement would put England in advantage during the war and France could focus on theirselves.
