Answer:

Marguerite sees god as white is a hint towards the racism which gets expressed well in “I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings” by Maya Angelou. Seeing God as white is the consequence of the bigotry of religion. The 'God' she has faced is considered to be an entity of whites. Having intimidation towards the church, led her to face several penances. Being brought up in a highly religious town, she had this longing and affection towards God since childhood. She believed that God was the only thing that could affirm her worth in the society and impose very high moral codes and conducts upon her. But slowly when she grows up, she realizes her worth and understands that religion has the ability to stimulate ignorance and submissiveness.

5. At the top of p. 34, explain why they usually tape the victim's mouth shut. for fahrenheit 451
aleksandr82 [10.1K]

Because they didn't want the victim to scream or whimper.

Why was this important?

 • Because if the victim made noise, she or he would draw the attention of other people.
 • Because the victim could persuade the cops not to do their job.

The police were responsible for setting fire to the homes of people who had books, as books were considered dangerous and so were the people who read them.

In that case, the police should arrest the person who had books and burn that person's house with everything inside it. This work should be done discreetly, without attracting attention, and with as little noise as possible.

For this reason, the victim's mouth was taped together to avoid making noise and attracting other people's attention and not being able to talk to the police and influence them not to do what they had to do.

What is an important social reform needed in our country? Why do you think it is necessary?
ANTONII [103]

Answer:

The definition of a social reform is the organizing of people to implement gradual change toward justice, so:

Explanation:

A good social reform for this day and age would be having everyone work towards stopping the rise of global warming, or something like keeping the oceans cleaner. I think they're both pretty necessary considering the earth is our home and we need to keep it clean/ keep it at a livable temperature to where we all don't blow up in flames.
