1 - x = 4

To solve this we need x by itself,
to do that we have to put the one on the other side, we do this by adding the opposite of the number to both sides . The opposite of 1 is -1, when you add 1 + -1 on the left side of the equation you get 0 leavening -x alone. When you add -1 to the right side of the equation you get, 4-1 which is 3.
Now you are left with
-x =3
X cant be negative, so to get rid of the negative you have to divide the negative 1 on both sides. -1x / -1 = x
And 3/ -1 = 3
Now you are left with

X = -3

Answer:

11.81

Step-by-step explanation:

5 1/4 per 20 min (1/3 of an hour)

5.25 (5 1/4) * 3 = 15.75 pounds per hour

$0.75 earned per pound

So, 15.75 * $0.75 = $11.81

Integrate the following. ∫<img src="https://tex.z-dn.net/?f=5x%5E%7B4%7D%20dx" id="TexFormula1" title="5x^{4} dx" alt="5x^{4} dx
Vadim26 [7]

Answer:

\displaystyle D)  {x}^{5}  +  \rm C

Step-by-step explanation:

we would like to integrate the following Integral:

\displaystyle \int 5 {x}^{4} \, dx

well, to get the constant we can consider the following Integration rule:

\displaystyle \int c{x} ^{n}  \, dx  =  c\int  {x}^{n}  \, dx

therefore,

\displaystyle 5\int  {x}^{4} \, dx

recall exponent integration rule:

\displaystyle \int {x} ^{n}  \, dx  =  \frac{ {x}^{n + 1} }{n + 1}

so let,

  • n = 4

Thus integrate:

\displaystyle  =  5\left( \frac{ {x}^{4+ 1} }{4 +  1}  \right)

simplify addition:

\displaystyle  =  5\left( \frac{ {x}^{5} }{5}  \right)

reduce fraction:

\displaystyle  =  {x}^{5}

finally we of course have to add the constant of integration:

\displaystyle  \boxed{ {x}^{5}  +  \rm C}

hence,

our answer is D)

Kara had a savings account balance of $153 on Monday on Tuesday she has six withdrawals of $15.72 and a deposit of $235.15 what
trasher [3.6K]

Answer:

$293.83

Step-by-step explanation:

She started with $153. The next day she withdrew $15.72 six times, that is $15.72*6 = $94.32

We have to subtract $94.32 from the starting amount, that is $153 - $94.32 = $58.68

After that, she deposited $235.15. We have to add that to the current balance.

Now she has $58.68 + $235.15 = $293.83

Therefore, her account balance after these transactions is $293.83
