Answer:   180

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : A bag contains three red marbles, five green ones, one lavender one, two yellows, and six orange marbles.

The number of ways to choose one thing out of n is given by:-

^nC_1=\dfrac{n!}{1!(n-1)!}=n

Number of ways to choose one red marble out of 3= ^3C_1=3

Number of ways to choose one green marble out of 5= ^5C_1=5

Number of ways to choose one yellow marble out of 2= ^2C_1=2

Number of ways to choose one orange marble out of 6= ^6C_1=1

By using the Fundamental counting principle , we have

The number of sets of four marbles include one of each color other than lavender will be :-

3\times5\times2\times6=180

Hence, the number of sets of four marbles include one of each color other than lavender =180

Answer:

The polygons are the square, circle, triangle, and the trapezoid.

Step-by-step explanation:

Polygons are the more natural shapes, like the ones you’d see everyday, or learn about as a child. Any shape that looks awkward or unnatural is not a polygon.

The difference between the roots of the quadratic equation x^2−14x+q=0 is 6. Find q.
lara31 [8.8K]

Answer:

q=-1128/169

Step-by-step explanation:

x²n-14x+q=0 here a=1, b= -14, c=q

let the roots of the equation beα and β

then the sum of the roots= S= α+β= -b/a=-(-14)/1=14

α+β=14 ⇒β=14-α--------(i)

product of the roots=P= αβ= c/a= q/1=q------(ii)

since α-β=6--------(given)----(iiI)

put the values of β from equation i to equation iii

α-14α=6

-13α=6

α=-6/13

put the values of α and β in eq. (ii)

αβ=q=(-6/13)(14-(-6/13)

q=(-6/13)(182+6/13)

q=(-6/13)188/13

q=-1128/169
