how I find the slope it by looking at the y-axis and what hits directly on that line. you can see that 3 hits directly on that line so the b in y=mx+b is three which is your starting point. then you follow the line and see where it hits directly on a point. then count the blocks. remember that it's rise over run so that's y over x. so you go down five and over one. since you go down five it's negative. the negative is only added onto the five not the one. and since it's five over one, you don't need to put the over one, it's just automatically there. hope this helps! good luck!
