Answer:

Factor: Numbers we can multiply together to get another number.

Multiple: The product of one number multiplied by another.

Examples:

Factor Example: 3 × 5 = 15 therefore, 3 and 5 are the factors of 15.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mulitple Example: 4 x 1 = 4, 4 x 2 = 8, 4 x 3 = 12, 4 x 4 = 16, 4 x 5 = 20, 4 x 6 = 24

4, 8, 12, 16, 20, and 24 are multiples are 4.

Answer:

a factor is a number that when multiplied by another number produces a given number or expression.

a multiple is a number that can be divided by another number without a remainder

ex:multiples of 5 would be 15, 25,30, 20 etc.

How many inches is each slice of pizza?
mariarad [96]

Hey!

First, let's find the area. The formula for finding area of a circle is: π · r²

Radius is ½ of the diameter. Divide the diameter by 2 to get the radius.

d = 18

18 ÷ 2 = 9

r = 9

r² = 9 × 9 = 81

The area of the whole pizza is 81π. There are 10 slices. Divide the area of the whole pizza by 10 to find the area of 1 slice.

81π ÷ 10 = 8.1π

That means each slice is 8.1π inches²

choose the point-slope form and f the equation below that represents the line through the point (6,-3) and has a slope of 1/2
AveGali [126]

Answer:

The point-slope form of this equation would be y + 3 = 1/2(x - 6)

Step-by-step explanation:

In order to find this, start with the base form of point-slope form.

y - y1 = m(x - x1)

Now input the slope for m and the point for (x1, y1)

y - -3 = 1/2(x - 6)

y + 3 = 1/2(x - 6)

The angle of elevation of the top of a pole as seen from a point 13 ft away from the base is double its angle of elevation as se
spayn [35]

The height of the pole above the level of the observer's eyes is 31.42 ft

Let the angle of elevation of the top of the pole from a point 47 ft away be α.

Let the angle of elevation of the top of the pole from the point 13 ft away be β.

Since the angle of elevation of a point 13 feet away is twice that from 47 ft away, we have that β = 2α.

If the height of the pole above the level of the observer's eye is h, we have that

tanβ = tan2α = h/13 and tanα = h/47

From trigonometric identities tan2α = 2tanα/(1 - tan²α)

Substituting the values of the variables into the equation, we have

tan2α = 2tanα/(1 - tan²α)

h/13 = 2h/47 ÷ [1 - (h/47)²]

Dividing through by h, we have

1/13 = 2/47 ÷ [1 - (h/47)²]

Cross-multiplying, we have

1/13 = 2/47 ÷ [1 - (h/47)²]

1 - (h/47)² = 2/47 × 13

1 - (h/47)² = 26/47

(h/47)² = 1 - 26/47

(h/47)² = (47 - 26)/47

(h/47)² = 21/47

Taking square-root of both sides, we have

h/47 = √(21/47)

Cross-multiplyng, we have

h = √(21/47) × 47

h = √(21 × 47)

h = √987

h = 31.42 ft

The height of the pole above the level of the observer's eyes is 31.42 ft

suppose Tomas buys a total of 30 baseball and football cards in week 5 . how many of each would he have to buy to keep the same
Charra [1.4K]

Answer:

 • 18 baseball cards
 • 12 football cards

Step-by-step explanation:

The only relationship shown in the table is in week 1, where the ratio of baseball to football cards is ...

 baseball : football = 9 : 6

In week 1, the total of these numbers is 15. You want the total in week 5 to be 30, double the total in week 1. So, Thomas needs to purchase double the numbers he purchased in week 1:

 • 18 baseball cards
 • 12 football cards

_____

Comment on the attachment

This table came from another question you posted, a question with no content other than the table. The blue numbers are blanks in the original table that have been filled in so as to keep the same 3:2 proportion in each week. They appear to have no bearing on this question.
