The annual expenditure of the US federal government is approximately 4 44 trillion dollars. If a one dollar bill is 0 . 0 0 0 1
kaheart [24]

Answer:

<em>A stack of 4 trillion one dollar bills will be  4\times 10^8 meters.</em>

Step-by-step explanation:

The annual expenditure of the US federal government is approximately 4 trillion dollars.

We know,  1 trillion dollars = 10¹² dollars.

So,  4 trillion dollars =(4\times 10^1^2) dollars.

Each one dollar bill is 0.0001 meters thick.

So, the total height of the stack of 4 trillion one dollar bills will be.....

[0.0001\times(4\times 10^1^2)]meters\\ \\ =[10^-^4\times(4\times 10^1^2)]meters\\ \\ =(4\times 10^8) meters

12*10^5 or 1.2*10^6 which one is closer to 1 million? please explain.
Salsk061 [2.6K]
12*10^5 = 12*100000 = 1200000 ;
1200000 - 1000000 = 200000 ;
1.2*10^6 = 1.2*1000000 = 1200000;
1200000 - 1000000 = 200000;
Because 2000000 = 200000, neither of the two numbers is closer to 1 milion !

Pleaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaase help meeeeee<br><br><br>i this correct
erma4kov [3.2K]

Answer:

15.3 miles.

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of trapezoid is given by = 1/2*( sum of parallel side) height

Given area of trapezoid = 221.85 sq. miles

Length of parallel sides = 19 miles and 10 miles.

Sum of parallel sides = 19 miles + 10 miles = 29 miles.

Plugging the above values in formula for area of trapezoid we have

Area of trapezoid is given by = 1/2*( sum of parallel sides) height

221.85 = 1/2 (29) height

=> 221.85* 2 = 29* height

=> 443.7 = 29* height

=> 443.7/29 =  height

=> height = 15.3

Thus, height is 15.3 miles.

OlgaM077 [116]

Answer

Find out the  how many traffic lights are there on elm street .

To prove

As given

Elm street is 3.6 kilometers Long .

There are sets of 4 traffic lights every 0.6 kilómeter.

i.e

Traffic\ lights\ in\ one\ kilometer = \frac{4}{0.6}

Now

Traffic light in 3.6 kilometers = Traffic light in one kilometer × 3.6

Traffic\ light\ in\ 3.6\ kilometers = \frac{4\times 3.6}{0.6}

Traffic light in 3.6 kilometers = 24

Therefore Traffic light in 3.6 kilometers are 24 .
