I agree with Thomas Jefferson’s idea for a a few reasons. One being the idea that Americans should have the right to prevent the government from interfering with the civil rights of Americans. Those civil liberties including freedom of religion, speech, entertainment, etc. He believed these should be sacred and optional to everybody. If the government had a small central government, the general public would be able to have more control, and did many things for our nation. Such as reducing the size of the government by ending internal taxes, and reducing the size of the army and navy.

Select ALL the correct answers. In what three ways did discrimination against African Americans continue after the GI Bill of Ri
tensa zangetsu [6.8K]

Thanks to discrimination after the GI Bill of Rights was passed:

  • Many were denied loans to purchase a home from white loan officers.
  • Many were denied high-paying jobs due to lack of education.
  • Many were denied entry into colleges due to segregation laws.

The GI Bill of Rights was passed after the second World War in order to help veterans be integrated into society. It was to help them get houses through housing assistance and education through tuition assistance.

Because Black people were mostly denied entry into colleges due to segregation laws, they could not take advantage of the bill to get better education that would guarantee them better jobs.

They were also denied loan applications to get houses by white loan officers and so could not benefit from that as well.

In conclusion, the GI Bill of Rights did not benefit every veteran but only those with a certain skin tone.

Nadusha1986 [10]
Lack of Power to raise funds for the militia. The significant defeat of the Articles of Confederation was just shortcoming. The government, under the Articles, was excessively feeble, making it impossible to authorize their laws and in this way had no power. The Continental Congress had acquired cash to battle the Revolutionary War and couldn't reimburse their obligations.

Chapter 11 The twenties ,1919-1929 List the cause of the Teapot Dome Scandal and list three of its effects.
nata0808 [166]
The cause for the scandal was the discovery of bribery in the cabinet and the government regarding oil trade. One effect was that it proved that cabinet members are not all powerful and can be arrested and indicted just like anyone. Another effect was the Supreme Court's ruling in McGrain v. Daugherty which explicitly established that Congress had the power to compel testimony. A third effect was that the government was given back the oil fields that were leased and they stayed in US ownership until 2015 when it was legally sold.
