Answer:

The plate boundary is a convergent one where a subduction zone is created.

Explanation:

The Andes are the longest and highest mountain chain in South America, and among the largest ones in the world as well. It is a mountain chain created because of the collision between two tectonic plates and the process is still not over, so the Andes are still growing in size and elevation.

The plates that collide are the Nazca Plate (not the Pacific as it is stated in the question) and the South American plate. The Nazca Plate is a smaller plate and it is mostly made up of oceanic crust, while the South American plate is much larger and is mostly made up of continental crust. The lower and denser Nazca plate moves below the South American plate, thus it subducts, and as it does so, the crust near the plate boundary is pushed up, creating a mountain chain, in this case, that being the Andes.

"Alice" is located almost in the middle of the country at the usually dry Todd River on the northern side of the MacDonnell Ranges in the Central Australian desert, which is also known as the "Red Center".
Answer 10:

(D) Tasman Sea

The Tasman Sea is a limited sea of the South Pacific Ocean, located between Australia and New Zealand. It measures about 2,000 kilometres (1,200 mi) across and about 2,800 kilometres (1,700 mi) from north to south. The sea was titled after the Dutch explorer Abel Janszoon Tasman, who was the earliest recorded European to find New Zealand and Tasmania.

Mid-ocean ridges are places where tectonic plates are doing what?
stich3 [128]

A mid-ocean ridge or mid-oceanic ridge is an underwater mountain range, formed by plate tectonics. This uplifting of the ocean floor occurs when convection currents rise in the mantle beneath the oceanic crust and create magma where two tectonic plates meet at a divergent boundary.

Pls help
Ivenika [448]

Answer:

A. The ice has a high albedo.

Explanation:

Albedo is a measure of ‘whiteness’ or reflectivity which is also the rate at which a surface is able to reflect a percentage of solar radiation it receives. White surfaces have a higher albedo which is why Arctic and Antarctic regions with lots of ice sheets have a high albedo. They play a big role in regulating global temperatures. The larger the ice sheet cover in the antarctic and arctic regions, the more they reflect solar radiation back to space hence keeping the temperatures on earth from rising considerably.
