What impact does extend dog metaphor have on the tone of reunion
Salsk061 [2.6K]

Answer:

I'll post parts of the story that used the dogs as metaphors.

"He chuckled as their muffled noises reminded him of whimpering puppies down at the animal shelter where he volunteered. Puppies always seemed to make noises as they played and whined for attention from the older dogs or volunteers. He liked working in the smaller dog area where all the older dogs looked out for the puppies, just like family, just like his family of older members looking out for the younger ones."

The metaphor of the dog gave me a clear picture of what their family is and how they act towards one another.

Their family is big in number and most of them are kids. They are a boisterous bunch and they enjoy each others company just like puppies. The older batch of cousins are like the big dogs that keep watch over the younger cousins like puppies.

Their family is big, happy, warm, and clearly enjoys each others company.

What are the central ideas of the speech? Check the three boxes that apply
RSB [31]

Answer:

A). The Nez Percé people are motivated by the desire to preserve cultural traditions.

B). To reduce conflict , Americans need to correct their misunderstandings of Americans Indians

E). The Nez Percé people practice commonly recognized human value and morals.

Explanation:

As per the question, options A, B, and E most appropriately conveys the central ideas to convey the given speech. The speech aimed to <u>'encourage the people for displaying their inner desire to conserve their cultural traditions ' by appealing to them emotionally</u>(through ethos) and <u>'to reduce the conflicts between the American and American Indians'</u>(through logic/reason) in order to establish peace and harmony among the people. It also intends to <u>convince people(Nez Percé) for practicing the common morals and human values through ethical appeal</u> as it would help in diminishing the differences and uplift the growth and development. Therefore, <u>options A, B, and E</u> are the correct answers.
