Explanation:

One way Shakespeare transformed the plot of Pyramus and Thisbe into Romeo and Juliet is that they were neighbors. In Romeo and Juliet, the families just hated each other. While Romeo and Juliet is a similar story, Pyramus and Thisbe got to communicate to each other through a small hole in the wall. Romeo and Juliet actually had to sneak out to see each other. While both stories end with a tragic misunderstanding, Pyramus and Thisbe was focused on those two, and Romeo and Juliet kind of focused on the story as a whole, including the family feud, and even secondary characters. I think Shakespeare transformed the story in this way because turning the story into more than just the two lovers makes it a more memorable, tragic tale, for everyone.

Hope this helps :)

What was Oliver Goldsmith's style of writing
nika2105 [10]
Oliver Goldsmith is considered one of the greats of English literature is a mystery to me. His two "masterpieces", The Vicar of Wakefield and She Stoops to Conquer, are mildly entertaining but ephemeral. They practically evaporate on a second reading.
