Answer:

There were many anti-Jewish decrees made by the Germans such as Jewish were required to wear yellow star, were prohibited to use street cars, were forbidden to be out of their residence between 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM, etc.

Even after so many decrees made by Germans, for Anne life went on.

Explanation:

'The Diary of A Young Girl' is a memoir of Anne Frank, a girl who went into hiding with her family, The Franks, during the Holocaust.

In her diary, Anne wrote about how Germans made out anti-Jewish decrees, a list of anti-Jewish decrees. They were:

  • <em>Jews were required to wear a yellow star; </em>
  • <em>Jews were required to turn in  their bicycles; </em>
  • <em>Jews were forbidden to use street-cars; </em>
  • <em>Jews were forbidden to ride in  cars, even their own; </em>
  • <em>Jews were required to do their shopping between 3 and 5 P.M.; </em>
  • <em>Jews were required to frequent only Jewish-owned barbershops and beauty parlors; </em>
  • <em>Jews were forbidden to be out on the streets between 8 P.M. and 6 A.M.; </em>
  • <em> Jews were  forbidden to attend theaters, movies or any other forms of entertainment; </em>
  • <em>Jews were  forbidden to use swimming pools, tennis courts, hockey fields or any other athletic  fields; </em>
  • <em>Jews were forbidden to go rowing; </em>
  • <em>Jews were forbidden to take part in any  athletic activity in public;</em>
  • <em>Jews were forbidden to sit in their gardens or those of their  friends after 8 P.M.; </em>
  • <em>Jews were forbidden to visit Christians in their homes; </em>
  • <em>Jews  were required to attend Jewish schools, etc. </em>(Textual evidence)

<em />

For Anne and her family, after all these anti-Jewish decrees were brought, life went on. Though they had to be careful to follow these decrees, they were anxious of what may happen next, but their lives continued.

<em>'You couldn't do this and you couldn't do  that, but life went on.'</em>

At the beginning of the 8th paragraph, Mrs. Mallard senses “something coming to her.” What is it? What effect physically does it
Greeley [361]

Explanation:

<u>"The Story of an Hour," is a short story written by Kate Chopin (1894).</u>

This story is about a woman Mrs. Mallard who found out that her husband is dead. She was sad at first, but then she felt happy. She didn't fear the death of her husband, but she was filled with glee and joy. Later, she found out her husband is alive, and she died from heart disease.

As for your questions:

What is it?

<u>At the beginning of the 8th paragraph, Mrs. Mallard senses </u><em><u>“something coming to her.”</u></em><u> This something was freedom - </u><em><u>"She said it over and over under the breath: "free, free, free!"</u></em>

What effect physically does it have on her?

Mrs. Mallard felt she was free from her husband, she enjoyed the imagining herself in control of her life; it was her reaction after being freed from marriage. But when she found out that her husband is alive, her heart could not stand it. Mrs. Mallard had a sense of freedom for an hour, but that was taken away from her, her heart was unable to lose freedom again, and she died.

I hope it helped you :)

Which words from “ The Pedestrian “ help convey Bradbury’s message that a TV-obsessed world is a sad lonely place ?

Answer:

A

Explanation:

I read this is in 7th grade!! It is a book about Leonard Mead who is the only man in the future that takes walks! Everyone else just stays inside watching TV. Since no one goes outside anymore, his behavior is considered regressive and he is arrested. Bradbury feared this might happen during the world war ||. He did not like technology at all, and said it was dangerous!
