Friends and people and material things are for the moment, they do bring temporary joys and happiness for the present but you know it's not eternal. So attachment to temporary things often brings frustration, loneliness (when people you are attached to leave), and you constantly live with the fear of losing it the next moment. One may aspire a life dedicated to the service of the society, whereas others may value individual and personal success in terms of work and knowledge. So the definition of goals is relative and is a personal perception

What theme does this event from “The Necklace” support?
Phantasy [73]

Answer:

Unhappy people are never satisfied.

Explanation:

According to the given excerpt from "The Necklace", there's a conversation between two people who I assume to be a couple. From their discussion, the man got her a piece of clothing that he went to great trouble to get so she could wear it for a party but she was not pleased and spoke angrily to him.

Based on this, the theme that it likely supports is that unhappy people are never satisfied.

2.Little babies have little dream, haven't they?

3.The jury gave its verdict today, didn't he?

4. John and his brothers used to do it, didn't they?

5.Strong will defeated his frustration, didn't it?

6.Long live our motherland, doesn't it?

7.Fish in the pond, doesn't it?

Explanation:

In English it is common to end sentences with another short phrase, with the opposite sign, which is intended to ask for the opinion or seek the approval of the interlocutor: these are called question tags.

To form this short question we will use the auxiliary of the main phrase and its subject but with the opposite sign. If it had no auxiliary then we would use the auxiliary "to do".

If the sentence is affirmative, the question tag is negative and vice versa.

In the case of the verb "ought" it is allowed to use the auxiliary "should", as the verb "ought" is not that so used. But in the first sentence, it would be ok to use "oughtn't" too.
