Help ASAP! What were the strengths and weaknesses of the North at the beginning of the war? (Civil War)
Snowcat [4.5K]

Strengths: As compared to the South, the North had a lot more advantages, such as built up infrastructures and a factory-based economy, a larger population, a stronger relationship and better political ties with the outside world.

Weakness: The North suffered from poor general leaderships, underestimation of the South, belief that the war would end soon, and so took a lax approach.
