In what way is the Green New Deal similar to FDR's New Deal?

Answer:

Explanation:

The term “Green New Deal” was first used by Pulitzer Prize-winner Thomas Friedman in January 2007. America had just experienced its hottest year on record (there have been five hotter since), and Friedman recognized that there wasn’t going to be a palatable, easy solution to climate change as politicians hoped. It was going to take money, effort, and upsetting an industry that has always been very generous with campaign contributions.

Transitioning away from fossil fuels, he argued in a New York Times column, would require the government to raise prices on them, introduce higher energy standards, and undertake a massive industrial project to scale up green technology.1

“The right rallying call is for a ‘Green New Deal,’” he wrote, referencing former President Franklin D. Roosevelt's domestic programs to rescue the country from the Great Depression. “If you have put a windmill in your yard or some solar panels on your roof, bless your heart. But we will only green the world when we change the very nature of the electricity grid—moving it away from dirty coal or oil to clean coal and renewables.”

Since then, the “Green New Deal” has been used to describe various sets of policies that aim to make systemic change. The United Nations announced a Global Green New Deal in 2008.2  Former President Barack Obama added one to his platform when he ran for election in 2008,3  and Green party candidates, such as Jill Stein and Howie Hawkins, did the same.4

Communication theorists argue that a circular interaction continues between people because each participant imposes his own ____
Sergio039 [100]

Letter C is the correct answer.

Communication theorists say that a circular interaction is only possible because of each person's punctuation on what is being said. This punctuation, also, determines the meaning behind what's being communicated and how each person will be evaluated in the conversation.

How do you find the boundary layer thickness of a pipe?
QveST [7]

The boundary layer thickness is usually defined as the distance from the wall to the point where the flow velocity reaches 99 % of the free stream value.

In the very thin boundary layer associated with free stream flows with high Reynolds numbers, a steep rise in velocity occurs perpendicular to the wall.

Boundary layer thickness = 0.37*Distance on x-axis/(Reynolds Number^(1/5))

δ = 0.37*x/(Re^(1/5))

This formula uses 3 Variables:

Variables Used

Boundary layer thickness - (Measured in Meter) - Boundary layer thickness is the distance normal to the wall to a point where the flow velocity has essentially reached the 'asymptotic' velocity.

Distance on x-axis - (Measured in Meter) - Distance on x-axis is the distance of point measured along x-axis form origin.

Reynolds Number - The Reynolds number is the ratio of inertial forces to viscous forces within a fluid which is subjected to relative internal movement due to different fluid velocities. A region where these forces change behavior is known as a boundary layer, such as the bounding surface in the interior of a pipe.
