Answer:

20 animals = x chickens (2 legs)  + y horses (4 legs).

x+y=20 (total number of animals)

2x+4y=64 *total number of legs)

x+y=20

x+2y=32

If you solve this system of animal with 2 and 4 legs, you get 6 chickens and 14 horses

x=6

y=14

1) Divide 3/4 by 1/2. Remember how to divide fractions. Switch the problem into a multiplication problem.
3/4 x 2/1 = 3/2 (so you could only have 1 and 1/2 servings with 1/2 pound of chicken in each serving.

2) Set up a little algebra problem. Let x = the multiplier of the original 3/4 pounds of chicken needed to make two full servings with 1/2 pound of chicken in each.
(3/4)x = 2(1/2)            (Found this online V(0-0)v)

the parallel sides of a trapezium are such that the longer side is 4cm more than the shorter side of the distance between them i
saw5 [17]

Answer:

32cm and 28cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of a trapezium=0.5 ( sum of parallel sides ) × height

600=0.5( 4+a+a)×20

where a is the length of the shorter side

600÷0.5=(4+2a)×20

1200=(4+2a)×20

1200÷20=4+2a

60=4+2a

60-4=2a

56=2a

56÷2=a

28=a.

since the longer side is 4 cm more than th shorter side , 28 +4=32
