Andersonville Prison was the largest Confederate prison and was known for its unhealthy conditions and high death rate of Union soldiers. The ironic that can be deducted from Andersonville Prison is that Confederacy who built the camp could afford to move a large number of prisoners hundreds of miles to Andersonville Prison but  yet they could not afford to feed and house the prisoners.
