Racism is defined as prejudice, discrimination or antagonism towards people based on their association with a group of either race or ethnic group
in a way romeo and juliet simplified this into two families who disliked eachother and went out of the way to disrespect eachother based only on the fact that they were apart of the opposing family

The United States wants Japan to get rid of the clause. The reason behind them wanting to do this is for Japan to rise in the region in response to China. China is becoming very powerful in the region and has a lot of influence over the region and the US would like Japan to deter China's influence.
