What is denitrification

Explanation:

Denitrification is basically a biochemical phenomenon where nitrate is used by the bacteria living in the soil for the process of their respiration instead of using Oxygen from the air, consequently, the nitrates are converted into nitrous oxide and nitrogen gas. The process of denitrification is accelerated mostly in the wet and warm soil where there is lot of nitrate available.

This process is exhibited by Alkaligenes, Pseudomonas and Bacillus etc. Most of the bacteria involved in this process are facultative aerobially heterophs who has the ability of switching to denitrification from normal respiration when they find that the normal oxygen is running out.

Vegetative reproduction is a mode of asexual reproduction naturally occurring in plants. In this process. only one of the parent is involved and the offspring is genetically identical to the parent and no sharing of DNA takes place.

Examples are:  Onion, rhizome (ginger) and daffodil

Explanation:

There are meristem tissues found in the stem, root and leaves. These are undifferentiated cells and have tendency of dividing. This tissue gives rise to organs of the plant and responsible for its growth.

Natural vegetative propagation happens when an axillary bud grows into a lateral shoot and develops adventitious roots consequently forming a new plant.

Vegetative propagation can be done artificially also.
