Answer:

In a rhombus, the diagonals bisect at right angles. That means half the diagonals form a right angle triangle then we can try the Pythagorean theorem. so -

one side of triangle =  6/2 =3 (half of the diagonal)

other side = 8/2 = 4

a^2 + b^2 = c2

3 ^2 + 4^2 = c^2

9+16 = c^2

c^2=25

c = \sqrt{25} = 5

the hypothenus forms one side of the rhombus and here the hypothenus is 5, so the lenght of a side is 5 !

In the figure shown, line AB is parallel to line CD. Part A: What is the measure of angle x? Show your work. (5 points)
gtnhenbr [62]

a) ∠PQR=65° (alternate interior angles theorem)

∠PRQ = 60° (linear pair)

x = 55° (angles in a triangle add to 180°)

b) ∠APQ and ∠PQR are congruent alternate interior angles.

Some Quadratic functions <br>I desperately need some help
Daniel [21]

Answer:

\large\boxed{0=3x^2+2x-2}\\\\\boxed{0=-3x+3x^2-2}\\\\\boxed{0=-1x-2+3x^2}

Step-by-step explanation:

\text{The quadratic equation:}\\\\ax^2+bx+c=0\\\\a-coefficient\\\\c-constant\ term\\\\\text{We have}\ coefficient\ a=3\ \text{and}\ constant\ term\ c=-2.\\\\\text{Therefore the equation is:}\\\\3x^2+bx-2=0\\3x^2-2+bx=0\\bx+3x^2-2=0\\bx-2+3x^2=0\\-2+3x^2+bx=0\\-2+bx+3x^2=0

Solve: -4x-8x+17=23<br> check solution
Sveta_85 [38]

Answer:

x = -1/2

Step-by-step explanation:

To solve the equation, we first need to combine like terms:

-12x+17=23

Simplify further:

-12x=6

Divide by -12 on both sides to get:

x = -\frac{1}{2}

To check  the solution, plug x back into the original equation and check if we get the correct answer:

-4(-\frac{1}{2})-8(-\frac{1}{2})+17=23

2+4+17= 23

23=23

Thus, it checks out and our answer is correct.
