The cell membrane or a plasma membrane is a semipermeable membrane which means that this is a layer that allows only certain molecules that can pass through it. This allows the cells to keep their materials and the contents parted from the environment and from the other cells. This also makes the phospholipid bilayer an outstanding semipermeable membrane and protects the intracellular organelles from the environment that is outside from the cell.

How the does the shape of an enzyme affect the reaction?
kobusy [5.1K]

Answer:

The shape of an enzyme determines which reaction it can catalyze.

Explanation:

Each enzyme is specific to one type of reaction. According to the structure of each enzyme, it has an active site capable of binding to a specific substrate, so the shape of the enzyme determines the type of reaction to be catalyzed.

Once the reaction occurs, the enzyme releases the product of the reaction and the enzyme is available for another reaction.

Regarding the other options:

 • The shape of an enzyme no depends on the reaction that it needs to catalyze.
 • Due to their specificity, enzymes can only catalyze one reaction at a time
 • The shape of the enzyme is not altered after the reaction.

Gnesinka [82]
Not sure but hope this helps!
Multimedia. Water boils in a flask, and later the flask is
stoppered and removed from the hot plate. When ice
water is poured over the flask, the water begins to boil.
When the flask is cooled, the pressure of the water
vapor decreases, which decreases the boiling point of
the water.
