While some parents consider themselves to be their child’s friend, many parents believe that a parent should behave as a parent and not as a friend. In today’s world, do you think parents can communicate better with their children as friends, or that it will lead to a loss of authority and respect for the parent and poor discipline?

Parent's would communicate better with there kids as friends. This is due to friends being better and more comfortable to talk to because they are more open. As for kids and parent's they don't get along very well sometimes because the kid thinks the parent's are to bossy and parents might be way too harsh on the child. But I do think that parents should still keep their boundaries as a parent and not take this whole friendship with their children too far. But yes I feel like it would much better if the parent was more of a friend to the child because it would make the kids life so much better and more trustable.
