Robin Hood and the foresters can not only be seen as being quite different from each other; they can be seen as exact polar opposites of each other.  This is so because while Robin Hood was nice to people, the foresters were just the opposite—they could be seen as being cruel to people.  To focus on this a bit closer it can be seen that while Robin Hood was honest and helpful, the foresters were dishonest and hurtful.
