Please help me with #4 I need to solve this equation :/ it's confusing
Vera_Pavlovna [14]
First u gotta estimate what the answer u think it is. Then u turn the 2 into an 8 by multiplying both the numerator (which is 1) and denominator (which is 2) by 4 to make it 8. U then get the answer 5 4/8 and u then subtract the 5 4/8 with the 5/8 to get the answer. This was only for the first one tho!!!

Which sequence of transformations does not preserve distance and angle? rotation and reflection
Vanyuwa [196]
Answer: rotation and dilation.

While rotation only rotates (obviously) the figure, dilation preserves the shape of the figure (that is, preserves the angles) but changes the distances: it makes the figure smaller.

The other 2 sequences of transformations only change the position of the figure, but the angles and distances remain intact.

An experienced ice skater spins on the ice, creating a perfect circle with a radius of 1 yard. What is the circle's circumferenc
zmey [24]
The meaning of circumference is to find the distance around a circle or in other words the perimeter of the circle. The circumference of a circle can be calculate by using the formula C=2πr or C=πd, where r refers to the radius.

In this exercise is given a circle, which radius is 1 yard and it is asked to find its circumference and use 3.14 as the value of pi. In order to do that, you should substitute the given value of the radius and pi into the formula C=2πr.

C=2 \pi r
C=2(3.14)(1 yd)
C=6.28 yards

The circumference of the circle is 6.28 yards.
