Given:

Arc(AB) = 78 degrees

Measure of angle CMD = 106 degrees

To find:

The measure of arc CD.

Solution:

Secant intersection theorem: If two secant of a circle intersect each other inside the circle, then the intersection angle is the average of intercepted arcs.

Using secant intersection theorem, we get

m\angle CMD=\dfrac{1}{2}(Arc(AB)+Arc(CD))

106^\circ=\dfrac{1}{2}(78^\circ+Arc(CD))

Multiply both sides by 2.

212^\circ=78^\circ+Arc(CD)

212^\circ-78^\circ=Arc(CD)

134^\circ=Arc(CD)

Therefore, the measure of arc CD is 134 degrees and the correct option is C.

What is the circle's circumference? The diameter of a circle is 6 millimetres.
dolphi86 [110]

Answer:

C = 6pi or approximately 18.84 mm

Step-by-step explanation:

The circumference of a circle is

C = pi *d

C = pi *6

We can approximate pi by 3.14

C = 3.14*6

C =18.84

dsp73

Answer:

1\frac{1}{3}

Step-by-step explanation:

Total Volume of Water = 5\frac{4}{6}

Volume drunk by James =1\frac{1}{3}

Volume drunk by Simon =\frac{2}{3}

Volume drunk by Matthew = 1\frac{1}{2}

Volume drunk by Gilbert =\frac{5}{6}

Total Volume Drunk (i.e. The Sum) = 1\frac{1}{3} + \frac{2}{3} + 1\frac{1}{2} +\frac{5}{6}=\frac{13}{3}

Volume of water Left = Total Volume of Water-Total Volume Drunk

= 5\frac{4}{6}-\frac{13}{3} =\frac{4}{3}=1\frac{1}{3}

Give a possible formula for the function below. Let A = (-1, 32) and B = (1, 8). (Note: Use the general exponential function.)
skelet666 [1.2K]
The question ask to find and compute the possible formula for the function below where as A = (-1,32) and B= (1,8).  In my own calculation and further computation about the problem and also following the rule of general exponential function, the formula would be y = a*(b^x). I hope this would help

Hector puts together two tables to make a long table for a class picnic.
lys-0071 [83]

Answer: 14 feet 4 inches

Step-by-step explanation:

Given: The length of the first table = 7 feet 7 inches

The length of the second table = 6 feet 9 inches

The total length of two tables = 7 feet 7 inches + 6 feet 9 inches

= (7+6) feet (7+9) inches

=13 feet 16 inches

Since 1 feet = 12 inches

The total length of two tables = 13 feet+ (12 inches +4 inches)

=13 feet +( 1 feet +4 inches)

= 14 feet 4 inches

Hence, the total length of the two tables =  14 feet 4 inches
