During smoking the cigarettes fumes make the walls alveoli very thin which causes rupturing of alveoli. This reduces the surface area for gaseous exchange in lungs .
To make up for the reduces gaseous exchange the heart has to pump more blood.
cigaratte smoking is injurious to health because it affects our lungs,heart and different internal organs of our body which is cause of cancer and other non curable diseases.
