History

The advancements in the military technology after the Industrial Revolution had made the European empires even stronger and even more dominant in the world.

With superior weaponry, the European empires were able to gain much more new territories around the world with relative ease. Africa was overtaken almost entirely, South Asia, most of Southeast Asia, parts of East Asia, and Oceania, all fell into the hands of the European empires, and the biggest reason for that was the superior weaponry and much better prepared military.

The Industrial Revolution led Europeans to have better military weapons and this allowed small European armies to defeat larger African and Asian forcer when invading territory. This made possible the colonization of the African continent.

What two events helped bring about the Renaissance
Xelga [282]
One could be the rise of towns and the crusades.  The Crusades was a campaign to reclaim the Holy from Muslim rule.  Despite the number of campaigns launched.  The Holy remained under Muslim control and this weakened the feudal system as the nobility spent most of their wealth on these campaigns.  This led to the growth of towns where merchants grew rich and became a force in society which led to the rise of the Renaissance where interest was centered on the classics.

Was Genghis Khan a hero or a villain
Andru [333]

Answer:

History books portray him as a brutal emperor who massacred millions of Asian and Eastern European people. However, he also practiced religious and racial tolerance, and his Mongolian Empire valued the leadership of women. Khan also brought law and civilization to Mongolia and is regarded as a hero in his native land. So technically he is neither a villain or a hero.
