The campaign for vaccination against influenza, more commonly known as the flu, is a very important undertaking. The vaccine allows people to reduce their chances of contracting the virus because it is essentially inserting weakened forms of the virus into their bodies. This allows the body to create antibodies to fight the virus so that when a person is exposed to the real form of the flu their body will be capable of easily fighting it off. This also means that the virus won't be able to spread as easily.

In a campaign such as this it is crucial that information is widely spread. Citizens need to be made aware of the vaccination becoming available and the importance of getting it. Thorough advertising is important at this point, accurate facts and information should be offered to the public. The CDC has done a good job of promoting the influenza vaccine over the years via advertisements that target all people. People are informed of the dangers of influenza so that they will understand the importance of getting the vaccine.

The campaign promoting the influenza vaccine uses bandwagon as an advertisement technique. This is effective because it's human nature to want to follow the crowd and be like everyone else. In this case "being like everyone else" is the exact goal because if everyone is vaccinated against the flu it will have a very hard time spreading.

Two other techniques that the campaign commonly uses are a combination of fear and facts. Posters state information about the virus coupled together with statements warning the reader that if they do not get vaccinated they are at a higher risk for contracting the virus. Fear is an effective technique in this situation because most people do not want to get sick so it motivates them to take action to prevent it.

All in all the CDC has been effective in it's campaign to promote the influenza vaccine. Information is spread throughout the country through advertisements. They target all people using many techniques but most notably, bandwagon and fear. In the end we can analyze the campaign from a logical stand point all day but the most tell-tale sign that it is effective is that millions of people every year get the vaccine!

Answer:

The campaign for vaccination against influenza is an important moment in a society, as it prevents people who are more susceptible to the disease from being protected with antibodies that will not let them be infected by the disease, preventing them from transmitting to others.

For this vaccination campaign to be a success, it is important that there is strong dissemination throughout the country, so that all citizens become aware of the vaccination and do not miss this opportunity. It is at this point that the advertising campaign is important, not only to publicize the campaign, but to show it attractive to the population, showing the importance of serving it.

With this, the government has an advertising team that will use persuasive techniques, in addition to a flashy and innovative design. However, the announcement will be of an expository nature, showing the places and times of vaccination, thus showing that vaccination will be a simple, easy and uncomplicated process.

The advertising team is also important to make media ads to be broadcast on television, radio and other media, thus reaching a much larger audience and once again, highlighting the importance of the campaign, always through expository, explanatory and direct techniques.

In this way, we can conclude that the vaccination campaign depends directly on the advertising campaign to obtain full success, because without efficient advertising, the dissemination of the campaign is compromised and cannot reach the priority public for vaccination.
