A proposal for unifying colonial government presented at the Albany Congress by Benjamin Franklin and Thomas Hutchinson. the plan called for a limited governmental agency, representing all the colonies, that would coordinate defense and indian affairs. Although the delegates approved the plan, neither the colonial governments nor the British supported the proposal.
The Roman Empire conquered many countries in three different continents. The continent of Europe included parts of Gaul, (Modern day France, and surrounding countries.) Spain, Britain, The Italian Peninsula, and Greece/Macedonia. In Asia and Africa the Roman Empire conquered parts of The Holy Land, Egypt, and Carthage.
A drawback might be that there are a lot of people that need to vote in the country of a direct democracy. That is a lot of numbers to keep track of and a lot of time dedicated just to voting.
This could be resolved through an easier way of counting the votes and keeping track of the people who have already voted, such as online voting. It could also make it easier to have smaller districts or groups of people vote in more places around the country. This would make keeping track of people easier. It would also bring down the number of votes that were in each area, reducing the amount of time it takes to count all of the votes.
They could get to know each other without supervision.
