The Boston Tea Party was a big offensive on behalf of the colonists. It hurt the British economically, but instead of just boycotting goods, the colonists raided ships and dumped 312 chests of tea into Boston Harbor. It also set apart Boston as the city of the rebellion, and ushered in the Coercive/"Intolerable" Acts.
Hope this helps!
