Explanation:

The Battle of Saratoga was considered the turning point in the Revolutionary War. Fought between September 19 and October 7, 1777, it was the first major victory for the colonists. It showed Europe that they had a chance to win the war and prompted France and later Spain to ally themselves with the Americans
