Answer: Yes, it has a very strong impact, but it also depends on the type of religion.

Explanation:  Each religion has its norms established according to the roles that people should have in society and how they should handle sexuality. Many religions talk about the man being the head of the home and the woman the ideal help. When people who live under the religion do not comply with this, they can be judged by other people of that religion, something that can lead to generating a lot of guilt. In the case of sexuality, religion talks about how it can be carried out in a healthy way as long as they are spouses. This is, in a way, that people understand that sexual debauchery is not good, but others may interpret it as a way of inhibiting what they feel.
