Robespierre was a controversial French figure during the French Revolution who became a leader of the revolution and a spokesman for the revolutionary cause. His record is controversial because he sought to create a "virtuous republic" through quick and swift justice, which was essentially the use of execution to rid France of anyone against the revolution that swept France. Many accused Robespierre of being a tyrant or dictatorial and eventually he was executed himself.

The code governed the people living in his rapidly growing empire. By the time that Hammurabi's died, his empire included much of modern-day Iraq, extending up from the Persian Gulf along the Tigris & Euphrates rivers.</span>

There are as many as 300 laws that cover a wide variety of subjects: homicide, assault, divorce, debt, adoption, tradesman’s fees, agricultural practices, & even the brewing of beer!

The code is best known from a stele made of black diorite, more than 7 feet tall, that is now in the Louvre in Paris. The stele was found at the site of Susa, (now modern-day Iran) by excavators who were led by Jacques de Morgan in the early 20th century. Scholars believe that it was brought to Susa in the 12th century B.C. by an Elamite ruler who subsequently erased a portion of it in preparation for inscribing it himself.

Hope this helps! :)

What natural resources in the congo did belgian imperialist want to capitalize on?
Olegator [25]
The natural resources included gold, diamonds, cooper, cobalt, and rubber. These resources were tapped by the native Congo population through a system of slave labor implemented  by King Leopold II. This made the Belgian government/economy prosper at the hands of the slave laborers in this country. This brutal regime resulted in the deaths of thousands of Congo citizens.
