Answer:

y=2x-19

Step-by-step explanation:

I'm guessing you mean slope intercept form y=mx+b

If so, first you would have to find the slope of the line

To do that, use the formula y2-y1/x2-x1

Remember you can pick any coordinate pair for this

I will pick 1=y2 -5=y1 10=x2 and 7=x1

When I put that in the equation I get 1-(-5)/10-7

Overall I get 6/3, or 2

Now to find the y intercept, you plug in the slope and one of the coordinates(any is fine)

I will pick (10,1)

1=y and 10=x and 2=m

1=2(10)+b

this simplifies to 1=20+b

now subtract 20 from both sides and get -19 = b

Now you have your equation y=2x-19

Answer:

             C.    y + 7 = -7(x - 3)

Step-by-step explanation:

The equation of a line is:

                          y - y₀ = m(x - x₀)

where m is the slope and (x₀, y₀) is the point which the line passes through

The product of slopes of two perpendicular lines is -1

so if given lines slope is ¹/₇ them:

     ¹/₇·m = -1

        m = -7

(3, -7)     ⇒    x₀ = 3,  y₀ = -7

Therefore:

               y - (-7) = -7(x - 3)

                 y + 7 = -7(x - 3)

If a= (-1,-3) and b= (11,8), what is the length of AB?
Margarita [4]

Answer:

4.80 units (3 s.f.)

Step-by-step explanation:

distance \: formula \\  =  \sqrt{(x1 - x2)^{2}+ (y1 - y2)^{2} }

Hence, length of AB

= √(11+1)^2 - (8+3)^2

= √ 12^2 -11^2

= √ 23

= 4.80 units (3 s.f.)

Sara's results probably do have a higher mean, if we take into account how William is way more willing to pay 20 dollars. Honestly, I think you got your chosen answers right! Just my opinion, as someone inexperienced.
